About Cole
Cole was born in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to a Southern Baptist pastor and stay-at-home mom. His father decided to call him "Cole" after Cole Trickle, Tom Cruise’s character in Days of Thunder. “Cole Terry, so you can be a NASCAR driver… or a country music singer.”
He spent most of his childhood in Athens, AL. One day, at 6 years old, Cole’s dad introduced him to a man named Jesus. “The trajectory of my life shifted dramatically that day; because of the grace I have been shown, and the love with which He has loved me, I live to glorify Him.”
Cole first picked up a guitar when he arrived on Amelia Island at age 14. He learned how to sing and wrote his first song not long after, and he found himself on a beach bar stage for the first time at age 16. At age 17, he packed his bags and headed off for the University of Florida to obtain a degree in Political Science. Cole released 10 singles by the age of 21, and while he was serving as an intern in the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Aaron Bean, he signed his first distribution deal with Sony Music-backed Santa Anna Records.
Cole is scheduled to graduate in August of 2025, after which he plans to pack his bags once again and set up shop in Nashville, TN to chase down a dream and God’s plan for him there.
